Product Overview & Application Area
The GEMA FK 300 hygienic storage tank is a fresh water combination tank from the FK series with a net capacity of 319 liters without a heat exchanger. It stores heating water and hygienically heats drinking water via an integrated stainless steel corrugated pipe using the flow-through principle.
The tank size is suitable for water-based heating systems where heating water is to be buffered and drinking water is to be heated on demand via the stainless steel corrugated pipe. Thanks to the available configuration with 100 mm EPS or 130 mm EPS insulation, the tank can be selected to match the desired insulation class.
Technology & Equipment
The FK 300 is designed as a standing hygienic storage tank with an integrated stainless steel corrugated pipe. The heating water is contained in the tank vessel, while drinking water heating takes place via the stainless steel corrugated pipe in a flow-through process. This means that drinking water is not permanently stored in the tank, but is heated on demand using the heat from the heating water.
For hydraulic integration, 8 charging and discharging connections with 1 1/2" female thread, 4 sensor and controller connections with 1/2" female thread, and a vent connection with 1 1/4" female thread are available. In addition, 2 connections for electric heating cartridges with 1 1/2" female thread are provided.
Everyday Benefits
The combination of heating water storage and hygienic drinking water heating supports a compact tank solution for modern heating systems. The flow-through principle via the stainless steel corrugated pipe is particularly interesting when drinking water is to be heated on demand.
The selectable insulation variants allow a choice between standard insulation and a better energy efficiency class. With the FK 300, the 130 mm EPS insulation achieves energy efficiency class A and significantly reduces standby heat loss compared to the 100 mm EPS insulation.
System Integration & Compatibility
The FK 300 can be integrated into closed heating systems and is suitable for system environments with heating, solar thermal, or heat pump technology, provided that the system design takes into account the technical limit values, connections, and safety components.
The existing connections allow flexible hydraulic integration. For electric heating cartridges, only the connections intended for this purpose may be used. The specific design of the heat generator, control, safety group, expansion vessel, and consumer connections should always be adapted to the respective system concept.

Assembly
The storage tank must be installed standing upright, frost-proof, and on a load-bearing surface. When bringing it in, the tilting dimension without insulation should be taken into account. The insulation can be fitted after positioning the tank if the installation path is narrow.
Assembly, hydraulic connection, filling, and commissioning should be carried out by qualified personnel. Connections, sensor positions, venting, safety valves, shut-off devices, and the expansion vessel must be executed in accordance with the system design.
Notes
The storage tank may only be operated within the specified operating limits for pressure and temperature. Before working on the tank, the system must be depressurized, secured against re-activation, and allowed to cool down sufficiently.
The type designation FK 300 serves for model identification. The confirmed net capacity without heat exchanger is 319 liters. For this tank size, 100 mm EPS and 130 mm EPS are provided as assigned insulation variants.
