SUNEX FISH S8 150 X Hot Water Tank for Domestic Hot Water
The SUNEX FISH S8 150 X is a floor-standing, enamelled hot water tank for storing and providing domestic hot water. The model has a nominal capacity of 150 litres; for energy labelling, an ErP storage volume of 163 litres is specified.
The compact floor-standing design is suitable for domestic water systems where a robust storage tank with clearly arranged connections for hot water, cold water, circulation, temperature sensors and an electric auxiliary heater is required.
Technology and Equipment
The tank body is made of steel S235JR and is enamelled on the domestic water side. Two magnesium sacrificial anodes support the corrosion protection of the inner tank. The construction complies with the requirements for enamelled domestic hot water tanks according to DIN 4753.
A permanently foamed rigid polyurethane foam insulation with a thickness of 50 millimetres reduces heat loss to the surroundings. The grey PVC outer jacket protects the insulation and ensures a closed, easy-care surface.
The equipment includes an inspection opening with a diameter of 122/179 millimetres, three connection positions for hot water sensors, a thermometer connection, a circulation connection as well as connection options for an electric auxiliary heater and the intended UV-20 disinfection system.
Everyday Benefits
The inspection opening facilitates regular inspection and cleaning of the inner tank. Multiple sensor positions enable temperature detection adapted to the system control in different storage zones.
The separate circulation connection supports the integration of a hot water circulation system. Unused connections can be sealed during professional installation.
System integration and compatibility
The SUNEX FISH S8 150 X does not have an integrated heat exchanger. The hydraulic and thermal integration must therefore be planned to suit the heat generator and the intended system concept.
Connections with G 1 1/2 inch are available for electric auxiliary heating. The hot water and cold water connections are each designed with G 1 inch; the circulation connection has G 3/4 inch.
The specific design of the safety group, drinking water expansion vessel, pressure reducer, circulation, and temperature control must be carried out by a qualified specialist company.

Installation
The storage tank must be installed exclusively standing on a load-bearing, level, and horizontal surface. For delivery and installation, in addition to the height of 1,077 millimeters, the diagonal dimension of 1,192 millimeters must be taken into account.
A suitable safety group and a safety valve with a 6 bar opening pressure must be provided at the cold water connection. If the supply pressure exceeds 6 bar, an additional suitable pressure reducer is required.
Before releasing a heat generator or an electric auxiliary heater, the tank must be completely filled, vented, and checked for leaks.
Notes
For permanently safe operation, the water quality, corrosion protection, and magnesium anodes must be checked regularly. A pH value of 6.5 to 8.5, an electrical conductivity of at least 200 µS/cm, and a chloride content of no more than 150 mg/l are recommended.
The magnesium anodes must be checked at least every 18 months and replaced if they show corresponding wear. Shorter maintenance intervals may be required in the case of high water hardness, critical water quality, or intensive use.
At high hot water temperatures, suitable thermostatic anti-scald protection must be provided.
