SYR DUO DFR 2314 backwash filter DN20/R 1″ for drinking water installations
The SYR DUO DFR 2314 backwash filter DN20/R 1″ is a manual backwash filter with an integrated pressure reducer for drinking water installations. It protects the house water installation from particles washed in such as rust, sand or metal shavings and supports a permanently clean water supply in the building.
The backwash filter is used as a filter fitting in accordance with DIN 1988 and is suitable for central installation behind the water meter system as well as for compact installation situations. Due to its design, it can also be used to protect individual water-carrying appliances.
Backwash filter with integrated pressure reducer
The DUO DFR 2314 combines filter technology, pressure reduction and a pressure gauge in one compact fitting. The integrated pressure reducer protects the downstream installation from excessive pressure and pressure surges. The outlet pressure is factory-set to 4 bar and can be adjusted in the range of 1.5 to 6 bar if required.
The filter element consists of a stainless steel mesh. The lower mesh opening is 90 µm, the upper mesh opening is 125 µm. This retains particles from the drinking water without interrupting the water supply during backwashing.
Flexible installation thanks to rotatable connection flange
The integrated connection flange is fully rotatable and facilitates adaptation to the existing pipe routing. Installation is carried out taking into account the flow direction, which is marked on the housing by an arrow. The main axis of the filter should be vertical; installation is carried out stress-free in the pipeline.
Before installation, the pipeline must be thoroughly flushed. For central use as a house water filter, the backwash filter should be installed in a easily accessible location directly behind the water meter system.
Low-maintenance backwashing
Backwashing is carried out manually via the ball valve. No special tools are required for filter maintenance. A maintenance indicator on the filter helps you keep track of the next backwashing date.
According to DIN EN 806 Part 5, the filter must be serviced by backwashing at least every six months. Maintenance should be carried out regularly to ensure the filter function is permanently preserved.
